서울 이태원 언덕 위, 오래된 주택 한 채가 세 명의 동시대 예술가들에게 하나의 캔버스가 되었습니다. 벨트(Welt)와 마이 알레(My Allée)가 공동으로 기획한 이번 프로젝트는, 세 작가가 약 3개월간 실제 거주하며 작업한 공간을 그대로 전시화한 특별한 아트하우스 형태의 프로젝트입니다.

이번 시즌에는 조형과 가구의 경계를 넘나드는 김민재, 익숙한 브랜드 오브제를 감각적으로 재해석하는 이규한, 코드를 기반으로 그래픽 회화를 전개하는 최건혁 세 작가가 참여해, 각자의 언어로 공간을 점유하고 창작의 흔적을 남겼습니다.

프리즈 커넥트 회원 분들을 위해 작가들과의 사적인 대화, 비공식 워크스루, 공간에 숨겨진 창작의 리듬을 가장 가까이서 경험할 수 있는 프라이빗 프로그램이 마련됩니다. 가든에서는 편안한 대화가, 작업실에서는 작가의 시선이, 집 안 곳곳에서는 예술과 생활이 맞닿은 감각이 이어집니다.

전시의 테마인 《me, meme: 세기말 안빈낙도》는 이미지와 감정이 넘쳐나는 이 시대에, 가볍고도 느린 태도로 삶을 다시 그려보려는 시도를 담고 있습니다.

Atop a hillside in Itaewon, Seoul, an old house has been transformed into a single canvas for three contemporary artists. Jointly planned by Creative Group Welt and lifestyle brand My Allée, this project presents a unique art-house format that exhibits the very space in which the three artists lived and worked for about three months.

This season features three artists: Minjae Kim, who traverses the boundaries between sculpture and furniture; Kyuhan Lee, who sensibly reinterprets familiar branded objects; and Geonhyuk Choi, who develops graphic paintings based on coding. Each artist has occupied the space in their own language, leaving traces of their creative processes behind.

For Frieze Connect members, a private program has been prepared, offering intimate conversations with the artists, informal walkthroughs, and the closest possible experience of the creative rhythms hidden within the space. In the garden, relaxed conversations await; in the studios, you can see through the artists’ eyes; and throughout the house, you will sense where art and life come together.

The exhibition’s theme, me, meme: Anbin-nakdo (Peaceful Escape) at the End of the Century, reflects an attempt to redraw life with a light and unhurried attitude in an era overflowing with images and emotions.
